Ray’s career as a tennis photographer started at the 1989 Australian Open. Since then he has covered 84 Grand Slam tournaments; 44 Davis and Fed Cup ties for federations including Tennis Australia, the ITF and USTA; more than 90 ATP and WTA tournaments; and two summer Olympic Games (Sydney 2000 and London 2012) for the ITF.In 2005, Ray’s tennis work was selected for two exhibitions: WTA: The History of Women’s Tennis, at Proud Galleries in London, and Passing Shots: Photographers’ Perspectives on Tennis at the US Open Gallery in Flushing, New York. He has published a number of photographic books – Tennis Match (2008), Roger Federer: Il N.1 di Sempre (2010) and Le Ragazze del Tennis (2010) – then in 2011, he produced his fourth book on the career of Rafael Nadal.Ray has considerable corporate experience, having worked for the past five years for various tennis manufacturers on the tour and on all their advertising work. He also is a member  of the International Tennis Photographer’s Association and the ITF Media Commission.
